Israel: 'Axis Of Terror' Behind Bombing In Tel Aviv
Bombing “was funded by Iran, planned by Syria and executed by the Palestinians”; Israel will not respond militarily in order to not upset upcoming “Palestinian” parliamentary elections
Two Palestinians armed with knives and carrying Fatah insignia were intercepted today (Friday) in South Jerusalem heading for an attack at the Gilo shopping mall. Offer thanksgiving to the Lord for continuing to uncover and thwart attacks on Israeli citizens and soldiers.
(Jerusalem Newswire, 1/20/06) Israeli Acting
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert took flack Friday for failing to order a response to
Thursday's “Palestinian” homicide bombing in Tel Aviv, despite detailed
knowledge of which nations and organizations funded, facilitated and executed
the attack. The bombing, which wounded some 30 Israelis, “was funded by Iran,
planned by Syria, and executed by the Palestinians,” Ynet quoted Defense
Minister Sha'ul Mofaz as saying during a meeting with defense officials in Tel
Aviv.
Mofaz said Israel “possess conclusive evidence that the attack is a direct result of this terror axis operating against Israel at all times.”
Thursday's bombing came as Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar Assad in Damascus, where the two hailed ongoing “Palestinian” efforts to mass murder Jews and eradicate Israel from the map of the Middle East.
“The continued Palestinian resistance [ie. anti-Jewish terrorism] is the only way to regain the Palestinian nation's legitimate rights over the occupied Islamic territories,” read a joint statement.
This evidence and previous threats to show terror and its sponsors no mercy notwithstanding, reports indicated Israel will not respond militarily in order to not upset upcoming “Palestinian” parliamentary elections, which the Jewish state's allies in Washington are so keenly looking forward to.
Instead, Israel is to present the damning evidence to the Americans and Europeans in hopes they will do something about it. Recent history would suggest they won't.
Meanwhile, Olmert's political rivals to the right took the opportunity to score the prime minister over his inaction, suggesting a future government headed by the former Jerusalem mayor would result in many more Israeli body bags. “Olmert prefers to fight settlers instead of Arabs,” charged National Union MK Aryeh Eldad, referring to Olmert's stated determination to forcibly expel a handful of Jewish families from their homes in Hebron, even at the risk of causing a major national rift. “It seems this [kind of terror] is what we can expect in the near future” if polls predicting a landslide victory for Olmert's Kadima Party prove true, continued Eldad.
It is believed “Palestinian” terror groups will attempt to escalate efforts to mass murder Jews ahead of the January 25 Palestinian Legislative Council election in order to boost their chances at the polls.
PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas continues to refuse to disarm the terror groups or to prevent them from participating in political life, both of which are violations of signed peace agreements with Israel.
The Abbas regime issued its standard unsympathetic condemnation following the bombing, saying the action had harmed the “Palestinian” cause and the upcoming parliamentary elections. No mention was made of the immorality of targeting unarmed civilians or of the victims.
Leaders Of Palestinian Terror Groups Visit Iran
President Ahmedenijad promised to support their “struggle”
(Debka, 1/20/06) Among the leaders who gathered in Damascus were Khaled Mashaal, whose Hamas organization is running for election of the Palestinian Parliament in five days, Abdallah Ramadan Shalah, head of Jihad Islami, whose suicide bomber injured 30 Israelis in Tel Aviv Thursday, Ahmed Jibril, head of the radical PFLP-General Command, and Hizballah’s Hassan Nasrallah.
The Olmert government in Israel is standing aside as Hamas heads for certain victory in the Palestinian elections. This group, like the other Palestinian terrorist groups whose commands are comfortably ensconced in Damascus, receives funding, aid and support from the hands of a leader who openly advocates wiping Israel off the map. The Tel Aviv suicide bombing was hailed enthusiastically by Iran’s state TV.
Jerusalem: A Cup Of Trembling
Lance Lambert
"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling [drunkenness and reeling] unto all the peoples round about...And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it." — Zechariah 12:2,3

The Lord declares that He will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling, that He will make it a burdensome stone, that He will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem, that He will seek to destroy all the nations that come against her! Read the prophecy. Over and over the Lord declares "I will." In that day the Lord also says that He will save. Read it yourself, prayerfully. Meditate upon it. God help any nation, any people, any ideology, any superpower, any head of state that comes into collision with this revealed purpose! They will fall into "the crucible of the Lord."
We are living in the days when our eyes are watching the Lord bring nations into a collision with Himself over the divine destiny of Jerusalem. Dear folks, carefully consider this message. We have no need to fear if we are really the Lord’s. The Lord is the One doing all of this. The powers of darkness do not have the upper hand.
Let us wake up and realize that we are moving more and more quickly into the latter part of the last phase of world history. May the Lord help us and keep us. May Jerusalem, next to the Lord Jesus, be our chief desire. Not the city itself, but what it stands for in the heart and mind of God—His character, His very Word, His covenants, His Messiah, His celebration! May Jerusalem mean something to you it has never meant before.
