Much Thankfulness Coming From Texas

First we are thanking God we are all ok, and we want to say thanks form the bottom of our hearts for those who prayed over the past 10 Days for us. Yes we are ok, and the electricity is back on since Saturday Morning at 3: 05 AM, Praise God!
Well what a week we’ve’ had, and how thankful we are for God’s Protection and Grace during Hurricane IKE (We stayed just a few miles north east of Houston Texas, just inside the Beltway 8) In fact the eye of the Storm came right over us, and thank God there was no damage to the House of our friends, or their neighborhood. We believe this is a great big miracle, we give God all the Glory and Praise!
We received the news, that Mary Lehman passed away at the age of 79, last Thursday evening. Russ and Mary where some of our very close friends and we were of course very emotional. We know she is with Jesus and we are really going to miss her.
Ueli got to know them when he came the first time to Iowa in 2003. We stayed with them twice, in 2006 and where able to minister and pray for Iowa. She was one of the most precious and the sweetest lady, with a spirit of Worship and High Praise like we have not often seen, it’s rare and is very hard to find, someone we really enjoyed worshipping with…. She had her own Shofar, Mary was blowing it often, and she was as good as Ueli…
On so many occasions we would call because we just missed her love and sweet spirit. And of course Ueli was always wondering what Russ was up to…and when we called Mary from Florida a couple of months ago, she told us so excited that as she heard about the Revival so she put together a Computer they had somewhere in a box and watched it every night and told us, “you guys must be at the Revival, because I heard Ueli blowing the his Shofar!” Yes I believe Mary blows it today on the Streets of Gold, and the question I want to ask especially our friends in the Midwest, who will now keep up that Flame of High Praise and Worship, Mary offered to the Lord every day! Who will catch the torch of High Praise!
We heard that some other friends of ours and Mary Lehman’s tried to raise her from the dead, they tried to figure out what went wrong, an other friend said “I believe when Mary finally had a glimpse of Heaven, she wasn’t about to come back”
Yesterday Ueli called our Mother in Switzerland and the first thing she was asking was, when exactly the day that the Storm was coming through? So I told her and she said, that night she had a dream, in that dream it was told, that a new washing machine was developed. This new machine has the ability not just to wash cloths and laundry; it also washes the children and babies, they can be put in, with the cloths right into the machine and be washed at the same time. So she bought one and put Ueli into the machine. After it started she walked away to do other things, suddenly I heard him shouting, its getting hot, its getting hot. So she ran full speed downstairs where the washing machine was, and at that moment she woke up and knew immediately that she had to pray for Ueli.
Well I believe this is a very good description of how important Intercession was that night, not just for us, but for the whole City of Houston! It is amazing to wake up and see, the devastation, 3 Million people without electricity, the Boats from the Harbor on the Highway, etc….you saw it most probably on the news, otherwise you can still go to ABC Channel 13, they have still many pictures on….and for about a week it felt spiritually like being in Africa in a Market or Bazaar…!
Is the Lord saying something, I believe yes I believe so, at one hand satan hates the City of Houston, at the other side, I believe it was weighed in the Balance of the Lord and found wanting!
Like most of you know I am from Switzerland and Storms is nothing new to me, but I have never been in a place where a Hurricane with such a magnitude passed through. It was amazing to see all the preparation of hundred of thousands of people being evacuated, Police and special Task-Force centers where prepared to face the Storm. Every hour new updates came and we started to see already two days before the Storm hit where it would come and probably do damage, and approximately what kind of damage and powerful winds were coming to us.
And finally it came, first the Front of the Storm with the heavy rain…in the place where we stayed we expected an East wind in the front, but it was not like we expected instead, a North Wind hammered against the House very heavy from Midnight until about 5 AM and then suddenly total calm and peace as the eye passed over for approximately 45 minutes. It was so amazing, we went outside and enjoyed it, and then suddenly in the back of the Storm was in Full gear and hammered this time from the Westside huge masses of water against the House for hours.
Even in the days of preparation I knew, the Lord wanted to say something specific through this Storm and suddenly after it all had passed and I meditated on what really happened I felt the Holy Spirit impress into my spirit the Question.
“If it was important to be prepared for this Storm, understand its dynamics, how it will hit, where we need to evacuate, and prepare different type of Task Force teams who will help, shelter and rebuild after the Storm, how much more important it is for us, to prepare for the coming Day of the Lord!
It is close at hand, the consequences will be a multiplied many times Over of what Hurricane Ike did here, and it will affect every Nation!
Prepare, prepare, prepare, Only a fool thinks he is ready, prepare, prepare, prepare!
And then the Lord said there is a parallel between the Hurricane and the Day of the Lord. Exactly like the Hurricane had a Front wall wind, an Eye and the Back wind, in the very same way the Day of the Lord will begin with a first worldwide Crisis and Military struggle followed by an Eye, a very short time of Peace where the Eye will pass through and will be used by the Lord for the Last Great outpouring of His Spirit, and then the Back wind will hit, with the only difference to the Storm, that the Back winds of the Day of the Lord will be much worse, then the first part. It will bring far greater devastation, far greater famine, far greater trouble, killing and murder especially for the saints, because this will be the time of the Great Tribulation.
Be ready my child, be ready my child, don’t play games, prepare, prepare, prepare, draw the water for the siege, draw the water for the siege, because time is short and as long as God is giving Grace and Favor, use it very wisely, as long as there is time to buy, buy as much as you can, so you will be part of those who stand in time, when God will bring in His final Harvest and reach out to a lost and dying world!
We must learn from the Hurricane, Church learn from the Hurricane and prepare, so you will be ready and my true witness in the day of disaster, so you will be ready and my instrument in the day of Battle and in the day I will rescue those who call on my Name. Pray, Pray, Pray more then ever, because I have to spy you out, and if you are found wanting, please do not be found wanting, but pray and prepare as there is time to do so!
May the Lord give you the Grace and Favor to take the right decision in this hour and to walk faithfully before Him, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Savior and most faithful High Priest, Yeshua the Messiah!
